The Park Is Where It's At

During the summer we go to the park A LOT. The funny thing is the kids only like the gigantic slide and the swings, so we alternate between the two. Phooey on the rest of the equipment. Lydia is not fond of going down the slide by herself so she rides down on my lap.

Occasionally we all go down together.

Lucas is still CRAZY about the infant swings, so it works well for me to have the kids swing in the same area.

Hello, Miss Hollywood! Her sunglasses are a hoot. She picked them out all by herself.

Look at these beauties! I had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Pittsburgh this weekend to attend a Living Proof conference with three dear friends. Beth Moore had such a great message that will stick with us for a long time! We came away refreshed and challenged. We had a so much fun together. What a joy to have such wonderful women as friends! We had some crazy moments that are so funny looking back on them now! I cannot wait until next time! Go here to read Beth's highlights of the Pittsburgh conference.

CARS cake as requested. Shrinky-dinks on sale make for an easy cake decoration. This was a great cake! I've finally found one that is GREAT and doesn't have egg or dairy!
(I substituted coffee for the water and increased the cocoa powder to 3/4 cup. I also added a cup of chocolate chips. So good!)

I feel so blessed that the previous owners of our home LOVED gardening! They did all the hard work of making it beautiful. Now I hope I can keep it that way!
