Ever since I returned home from the Beth Moore conference I have had a praise and worship song that has been continually coming to mind. It may be familiar to some of you, but it was new to me. It has such a beautiful melody and powerful words of praise!

I know you are all so busy, so click here. Now go load the dishwasher while you praise Jesus!

To All You Daddies Out There...

Have a wonderfully relaxing day!

You are a wonderful dad! There is no doubt you adore our kids and
they adore you!
You have such silly moments with them. You can take what I
see as a stressful moment and turn it into
a fit of giggles.

But you also have such
a soft tender side that displays your
passion for our kids!

We are blessed to have you in our lives!

We hope you have a wonderful day, sweetie!

Baby Bedding Completed

Here is the completed bumper pad and crib skirt my friend hired me to sew. Please forgive the not-so-good pictures. I finished these around midnight the night before I left for Pittsburgh last weekend and then I almost forgot to take pictures of them before I delivered them to my friend. This is my two minute photo session. Please ignore Lydia's bed rail. I couldn't get it off the bed. Maybe next time I will have more time to take better pictures. I'm pleased with the way they turned out. I hope she is too. I was a fun project and I enjoyed doing something I have never done before.

Crib skirt with box pleats
(Please excuse Lydia's yellow bedskirt peaking out here and there.)

The Park Is Where It's At

During the summer we go to the park A LOT. The funny thing is the kids only like the gigantic slide and the swings, so we alternate between the two. Phooey on the rest of the equipment. Lydia is not fond of going down the slide by herself so she rides down on my lap.

Occasionally we all go down together.
Lucas is still CRAZY about the infant swings, so it works well for me to have the kids swing in the same area.
Hello, Miss Hollywood! Her sunglasses are a hoot. She picked them out all by herself.

Look at these beauties! I had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Pittsburgh this weekend to attend a Living Proof conference with three dear friends. Beth Moore had such a great message that will stick with us for a long time! We came away refreshed and challenged. We had a so much fun together. What a joy to have such wonderful women as friends! We had some crazy moments that are so funny looking back on them now! I cannot wait until next time! Go here to read Beth's highlights of the Pittsburgh conference.

Birthday Pics

Here are some belated birthday pics:

Thanks Grandpa and Grandpa S!

Lucas handed Lydia a present so she could unwrap one. I thought that was so sweet and selfless!

Utter amazement over a craft that Aunt K and Uncle C gave him!

Look at this cute piggy-bank from Grandpa and Grandma M. A big hit!

CARS cake as requested. Shrinky-dinks on sale make for an easy cake decoration. This was a great cake! I've finally found one that is GREAT and doesn't have egg or dairy!
(I substituted coffee for the water and increased the cocoa powder to 3/4 cup. I also added a cup of chocolate chips. So good!)

Blowing out the candles!

Enjoying cake!

Funny faces always go well with cake!

Clematis and Poppies

I feel so blessed that the previous owners of our home LOVED gardening! They did all the hard work of making it beautiful. Now I hope I can keep it that way!

Irises Abound

I never knew irises came in so many colors and smell so good!
